Ghee is known as ghṛita in Sanskrit and is described in classical texts like the Charaka Samhita as sattvic food which — promots clarity, nourishment, and longevity. It is one of the few substances that balances Vata and Pitta doshas while nourishing Ojas — the essence of vitality.

  1. Boosts Digestion – Ghee improves Agni (digestive fire), supports absorption, and soothes inflammation in the gut.

  2. Supports Brain & Memory – It acts as a medhya rasayana, rejuvenating the mind and nervous system.

  • Take 1 tsp of ghee in warm water in the morning for gut health and dryness.

  • “Ghee is just fat” → Ghee contains healing compounds like butyrate and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
